Our research focuses on the physics and mechanics of surfaces and interfaces with applications in tribology. Using computational, experimental, and data-driven methods, we aim to design sustainable materials that perform under extreme conditions. We seek to transform surfaces into functional tribosystems with predictable and tunable properties. Our work spans a wide range of materials, from soft polymers to hard metals and ceramics, and covers scales from the atomic level to full engineering systems.
